Throughout their early elementary years and especially for the past several months, second graders have been preparing their hearts and minds to received Jesus in Holy Communion. Their preparations take place during religion class as well as at their parishes. This year, the eighth-grade girls have partnered with the second graders to help in their preparations. Last week, the students participated in the celebration of the garment and light, recalling their baptisms as they prepare to received Jesus in their hearts.
