Congratulations to the August Mountaineers of the Month who demonstrated the virtue of self-discipline. Mountaineers of the Month are recognized each month at the spirit assembly.

Nicholas Mansour
“This month, students not only focused on practicing the virtue of self-discipline but also tried living like the saint of the month, Saint Francis of Assisi. St. Francis of Assisi once said, ‘Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you’re doing the impossible.’ While there are several students in the fourth grade who practiced the virtue of self-discipline, one student in particular not only practiced the virtue, but also embodied the words of St. Francis of Assisi. Nicholas Mansour is a new student to Everest, and his transition into fourth grade has been seamless. He comes to the classroom every day with a smile on his face and an eagerness to learn. Even when concepts are challenging, Nicholas approaches them with fortitude. He never complains and is always up for a challenge. It is with honor that I nominate Nicholas Mansour as this month’s Mountaineer of the Month.” -Mrs. Motyka, Fourth-Grade Teacher
Anthony McGrath
“Anthony demonstrates constant preparedness throughout each school day. His work is clear and accurate. His cubbies and desk are clean and organized, and he always works diligently.” -Mr. Sapienza, Fifth-Grade Teacher
