The refrain in the room after each year’s Mardi Gras for Women event is “we’ll be back next year.” With over 200 women in the room, this year’s speaker, Mrs. Angham Brikho, shared her journey of faith and prayer through her journey immigrating from Iraq after her family home was bombed when she was a child. Her testimony of the power of prayer and faith set the stage for participants to step into their own Lenten journeys.
