Adolescence is an important stage of development as teens learn more about their own identity and develop their principles. Earlier this month, three Everest formation coordinators, Fr. Brian Hoelzen, Jill Swallow, and Ale Zapata, were able to attend a national workshop with other Regnum Christi members who are giving their lives to share the gift of ECYD with young people.  This was the last year of a 5-year cycle exploring how the RC charism can be lived out by young people: an invitation to say yes to a personal friendship with Christ, a group of friends with whom to experience the passionate challenge to change the world for Christ, and the five elements that all ECYD and RC members live.

This year’s workshop topics included the art of listening, engaging parents in the work of evangelization, purity in a digital age, principles of Theology of the Body, and adolescent spirituality.

The three Everest staff members came back excited to continue sharing this gift with young people and all parents and teachers who want to be part of this mission.  Feel free to reach out to any or all of them if you’d like to hear more about it, because they would be happy to share!
