We did it! With so many firsts this week, Everest Collegiate High School & Academy students, families, and faculty and staff are ready for a well-deserved weekend. Here are a few of our favorite moments from this week:

Our first day of classes was Tuesday, August 20. There were many smiles and few nerves as well (from both parents and students). Many students and moms were ready for school to begin again, others not so much.

Preschoolers had their Meet & Greet event on Tuesday and formally began classes on Wednesday.

A new school year means new uniforms for junior kindergarten and kindergarten, sixth-grade student, and freshmen. As new middle schoolers, sixth graders are learning to juggle the new dynamic of moving from classroom to classroom throughout the day. They are still getting the hang of it!

International students began their week with their opening Mass last Sunday and tearful goodbyes as they begin this one-in-a-lifetime experience. They are getting to know one another and have jumped right into life at Everest with classes, sports, and fun.

High school students enjoyed their annual back-to-school picnic at the end of Monday.

EC soccer kicked off their season with a win against Southfield Christian on Tuesday, 10-2. They claimed another victory on Thursday at their home opener with a 5-1 victory over Oakland Christian.

Homeroom parents had their annual kick-off meeting on Thursday morning. Many thanks to these parent volunteers who help coordinate classroom activities.

The first week has come to a close with opening Masses for all our students, entrusting the year to Christ, knowing he is the source of our strength and our guide throughout the year to come! Welcome back, students and families! Congratulations on a great first week!
