Mountaineers Pray & Celebrate Election Day

As we pray for our country on this election day, Everest students participated in activities to celebrate the day. While all students have prayed, high school students participated in adoration throughout the day and a student-led Divine Mercy Chaplet was prayed at lunch. The second graders held an election for Oreo vs. Chocolate Chip. Their poll workers check in voters and supervised ballot deposit. Students were very happy to receive their “I voted” stickers. Mr. Oreo won the election!

First graders shared what they would do if they were president.

“If I was president, I would treat others the way I want to be treated. I would show charity. I would clean the Earth. I would help homeless people. I would be a good president.” -Abby Mick

“I would help the poor. When you are 18 you can vote. I would be nice to others. Vote for me!” -Claire Kersey

“I would grow plants. I would plant seeds. I would speak clearly and donate money to the poor. If someone needed something, I could help them. Vote for me!” -Clayton Krompetz
