Congratulations to our September Mountaineers of the Month! The September recipients demonstrated the virtue of charity.
Eleanor Kempisty
“I would like to nominate Eleanor for Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Eleanor has exemplified the virtue of charity all month. In these three short weeks, Eleanor has done many nice things to help her new classmates in junior kindergarten. She is genuinely concerned for the needs of her friends and always makes a point to congratulate her friends on their accomplishments.” -Mrs. Reichert, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
Philomena Ariaganello
“I would like to recognize Philamena Ariganello for the virtue of charity. Philamena has a big heart and is always willing to help. She listens and follows directions well. She expresses herself clearly and lets me know when something is not going right.” -Mrs. McGrath, Kindergarten Teacher
Reardon Anderson
“Reardon has shown great kindness to others in the classroom. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. If a classmate’s supplies fall on the ground, he is right there picking them up. This is why I am pleased to nominate Reardon for the virtue of charity.” -Mrs. Mick, First-Grade Teacher
Samantha Luginski
“I would like to nominate Samantha for the virtue of charity. She is a great friend to the ones around her. She takes time out of her day to help her classmates with their work and even shares her pencils if someone needs one. It is my honor to recognize Samantha for this virtue.” -Mrs. Mick, First-Grade Teacher
Diana Harrell
“Diana is a great example of charity. She shows charity towards her classmates by waiting her turn, listening to her friends, and including others in her play. She shares her supplies with her friends and is very helpful in the classroom. Diana always puts others before herself. I think her favorite thing to do is to share her smile with others, because she is always smiling. Thank you, Diana, for being a great example of charity to me and everyone around you. I am very proud of you!” -Miss Wildrick, Second-Grade Teacher
Marianne Schmitt
“I nominate Marianne Schmitt for the Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. Marianne is always there to give her friends and teachers a hug or to share a snack or pencil.” -Mrs. Ohlinger, Third-Grade Teacher
Zachariah Brikho
“I nominate Zachariah Brikho for the Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of charity. When his classmates were having a difficult time opening their lockers and learning how to use a combination lock, he was always there to help. We even nick-named him the ‘Combo King!'” -Mrs. Ohlinger, Third-Grade Teacher
Beau Kratt
“As students discussed this month’s virtue of the month, they reported that charity is giving to others, being a friend, having hope, offering prayers, including others, and volunteering. Without directly saying it, the class understood one of the most basic principles of charity – being generous and giving to those who are suffering or who are in need. ‘Charity is the higher type of love which is seen between the Father and Jesus’ (John 15:10; 17:26). This is what makes this fourth-grade class so special. They recognize the needs of others and act. Beau Kratt is one example of what charity looks like in the classroom. When a classmate is in need, Beau reaches out. Beau Kratt is charitable with his time and his devotion to helping others. This is why it is with honor that I nominate Beau Kratt as September’s Mountaineer of the Month.” -Mrs. Motyka, Fourth-Grade Teacher
Mariela Brikho
“Mariela Brikho is love received and given. As a new student at Everest, she has made friends, and everyone loves her because she is so charitable with her time. She is the first to volunteer to help her peers. She is always considerate and thinks about others’ feelings.” -Mrs. Barone, Fifth-Grade Teacher
Violet Taylor
“Violet is always smiling and full of love. If she is struggling, she always seems to push through the situation and stay positive. She volunteers to help others even when it is difficult. She is exemplifying charity in our classroom.” -Mr. Sapienza, Fifth-Grade Teacher
