During religion class, middle school girls have the opportunity to come up with apostolic initiatives through “Virtue Committee Projects”. A committee of four sixth-grade girls visited elementary school classrooms to ask younger students to write letters for senior citizens. Then, they visited Addington Place of Clarkston to deliver them and visit with the residents. Bella Bowden shared her experience: “I learned so much from this experience at the senior center. I realized how blessed I am! I learned how much a smile can brighten someone’s day, but most importantly I learned how to love more than ever before. I am so incredibly grateful for being able to visit with the people in the senior center. I look forward to coming to visit again.”
