On Friday, October 28, 33 preschool and junior kindergarten students come back to school with their dads to participate in an activity night. The night started with a saints scavenger hunt. There were pictures of saints hidden in the gym and hall around the gym and, once found, there was a challenge dad and child needed to complete before moving on to the next saint. Then they played a game of “Don’t Wake Daddy” in the gym, which consisted of Miss Rose announcing how many steps to take towards their dad until eventually she would say “Oh no Daddy’s awake” when all the dads would turn around and chase their child trying to catch them before their child made it back to the other side of the gym.  Then the dads met with Fr. Jason Smith, LC, in the chapel while the children prepared some surprises for their dads.  To end the night the dad and child made together a take away in which they each traced their hand and glued one on top of the other as a reminder that dad will always be there to help, protect and provide for their child.
