This past week, the rising seniors participated in a surprise seminar where they had the opportunity to join together as the student leaders of the school. Mrs. Krogh, Mrs. Van Wagoner, and Fr. Brian led the group through a series of activities that focused on objectives outlined in an excerpt from our EC graduate profile:

  • They establish healthy relationships and genuine friendships. They have developed interpersonal skills such as trust, communication, mutual respect, and appreciation of others’ gifts that facilitate teamwork and building of community.
  • They desire to communicate Christ’s love to others. They strive to identify the needs of their neighbors, live out the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, and implement projects to help build Christ’s Kingdom, impact culture and better their world.

Together, the class developed goals that will guide them to have the best senior year ever by using their unique gifts and talents. They also discussed ways to help them leave a lasting legacy for future generations to come at EC. Students shared:

“I liked how we talked about the importance of unity as the leaders of the school. It was fun to see how much we have in common and how we all want to have the best senior year ever.” – Addy Bautel

“When we set goals for next year, it was interesting to see how many of us want the same things. It made us feel unified going into senior year.” – Audrey Stafford
