March is National Reading Month! This year Everest is partnering with United Shore Baseball to provide students who meet their goal with tickets to a baseball game. To kick off the month, Everest president, Mr. Nalepa, read to the elementary students. He even showed up in EC baseball gear! Students were captivated by the story. The Everest elementary students have been challenged by principal Mrs. Ender to read 650 books this month. For every 25 books they read, the game piece of school mascot Sir Edmund will move a base on the baseball diamond in the cafeteria. Mountaineers love to read!
