On Monday of Catholic Schools Week, we celebrate our community. EC seniors spent time visiting the early elementary students for a “Mountaineer buddies” activity. Students shared information about themselves with one another including how long they have been at Everest, what they love about school, why Jesus is important to them, what they are looking forward to during Catholic Schools Week, and how they are growing as a person at Everest.

Second grader Leo Dziekonski shard with his buddy, Andrea Gonzalvo, that Jesus is important to him, “because He created us and died on the cross for us.” Andrea shared that Jesus is important to her, “because He helps us with all our problems.”

Kindergarteners Luke Lutzke and Xavier Felix love days off of school. Diego Ramirez loves feeding the poor.

Kindergarteners Diego Ortega Machado and Georgia Van Wagoner are looking forward to sledding this week. Senior Celeste James is looking forward the hallway decorating competition. Those were popular answers among many kindergarteners and seniors.

Thank you, Class of 2022, for spending time with some of our youngest Mountaineers!
