In addition to CHSL honors for the Mountaineers, the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association recognized the following Mountaineers this year. A special congratulations to head coach John Haezebrouck on being named District Coach of the Year and Regional Coach of the Year for the third consecutive year.
The Oakland Press said it best, “Everest has gone 43-13-7 over the last three years and is one of only four programs in the state to make the state semifinals in each of the last three years. And they are the only program in Oakland County who can make that claim. Not Troy Athens. Not Novi. Not Detroit Catholic Central or Cranbrook or any of the other ‘traditional powers’ in the area. Only Everest.”
