Each year one of the highlights of May for the 4th – 8th grade boys is the opportunity to compete in the annual JPII sports tournament. The boys compete in hockey, soccer, and basketball. In addition to the sports competition, the boys were challenged to grow in their faith during the weekend through prayer and quiet reflection time.
The champions received medals for 1st place and ribbons were given out for 2nd and 3rd place finishes. The boys that displayed great sportsmanship received a medal and also a free kids meal at Culver’s of Clarkston. Thank you to Culvers for their support and all the volunteers that made the event possible. The event concluded with Mass on Saturday night celebrated by guest priest Father Robert Scullin, a resident of Jesuit retirement community at Colombiere. Congratulations to all of the boys!
