September was a month full of memories and joy for our international students at Everest! The boys kicked things off with a kayaking trip, enjoying the beautiful fall weather on the water, and later joined together for a weekend away at the ECYD camp. These moments gave them the chance to bond with their classmates, grow together in friendship, and also build important virtues and habits as they embark on their year of formation at Everest.
The girls also had an exciting month, beginning with a special bonfire under the crisp September sky, where prayer and community came together in such a meaningful way. They also enjoyed cheering on the Tigers at a baseball game and wrapped up the month by spending a weekend at the annual Pope Benedict XVI tournament.
Their first month at Everest has flown by. It isn’t easy to be away from home, but the days of busy activities are helping them to adjust to life at Everest as they grow humanly, intellectually, spiritually, and apostolically.
