The tenth graders recently participated in their class seminar which was focused on the theme “Change in Perspective.” The afternoon included a series of activities and experiences that encouraged the class to challenge the way they see themselves, others, and the world around them.

One of the most meaningful parts of the afternoon included planning and leading simple games for first graders. Organizing these activities required cooperation and patience. The sophomores had to think of the games from the perspective of younger students by making sure instructions were clear, the activities were engaging, and everyone felt included. There was a lot of laughter and joy during this part of the seminar by both the first graders and the high school students.

Overall, the seminar helped our tenth-grade class grow both as individuals and as a class by encouraging them to embrace new perspectives and to better support one another.
