Congratulations to this year’s Archdiocese of Detroit Excellence in Teaching Award recipients, Mr. Sapienza and Miss Mansour. The award recipients are individuals who exemplify the qualities of an outstanding teacher and role model for students in a way befitting of the school’s culture, charism, and/or spirituality. Award recipients were acknowledged before the CHSL championship baseball game at the Corner Ballpark on Thursday, May 21.Â
Mr. Sapienza has been teaching at Everest for 27 years. His dedication to students in Everest’s upper elementary grades shows his real care for his students and their success. Students develop a real love for learning, all while having fun along the way. Miss Mansour has taught theology and yearbook in Everest’s high school for sixteen years. She also cares deeply for her students. Her own love of her faith is shared with her students daily in the classroom. Congratulations to Mr. Sapienza and Miss Mansour!
