As the school year came to a close, Everest’s international program celebrated with special traditions that have become meaningful highlights for both the boys and girls.

For the boys, one of the most anticipated events of the year is attending the Detroit Grand Prix. This exciting outing has become a longstanding Everest tradition, with tickets being reserved months in advance. The boys spent the day in downtown Detroit watching world-class racing and enjoying the atmosphere of one of Michigan’s premier sporting events. This year’s experience was especially memorable because they had the opportunity to meet one of the drivers from Mexico. The boys enjoyed talking with him, getting autographs, and taking photos, making the day even more meaningful. Gibran Solis described the experience as “the perfect way to end my year at Everest.”

The girls celebrated the end of the year with a cherished tradition of their own. They gathered for their final Holy Hour together before enjoying dinner at the priest’s residence. Fr. Christopher generously prepared a meal for the girls.. The night provided an opportunity to spend time with the Lord and to look back on the many blessings of the school year.

These end-of-year traditions bring the last nine months to a close. Students returned home eagerly but sad to leave the beautiful memories and friendships they formed this year. They will always be Mountaineers!
