Lucas Cross ’22 was inducted to the Detroit Catholic High School League Hall of Fame on June 8, 2026. Following an accomplished soccer career at Everest Collegiate, Cross continued to excel on the field at Franciscan University of Steubenville. A four-year standout for the Barons, Cross earned numerous conference, regional, and state honors while becoming one of the most decorated players in program history.
Cross’s success began at Everest Collegiate. He was a three-time Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association (MIHSSCA) First Team All-State selection and a three-time CHSL All-Catholic honoree. During his senior season, he helped lead Everest to MHSAA district and regional championships and a state finals appearance. He also contributed to multiple district and regional championship teams throughout his high school career.
At Franciscan University, Cross was a two-time Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) First Team All-Ohio selection (2024, 2025), a three-time First Team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) honoree (2023–2025), and a three-time First Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) selection (2023–2025). He was named both PAC Offensive Player of the Year and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2023 and earned multiple regional honors from the United Soccer Coaches Association. As a senior, he led the Barons in goals, points, shots, shots on goal, and game-winning goals while finishing his collegiate career second all-time in Franciscan history in points (114), goals (51), and game-winning goals (15). He also concluded his career ranked seventh all-time in PAC history in goals scored.
Cross is the second EC alumnus to be inducted into the CHSL Hall of Fame following Mitchell Lowney who was inducted in 2024. Numerous Everest faculty, staff, and family members came out to support Lucas.
