On Wednesday, April 22, Everest’s high school students took part in the 5th Annual Mountaineer Mission Day. It was a chance to step outside the classroom and live out our faith by serving others and sharing Christ’s love. The day began with Mass, where each student received a cross and a Scripture passage to carry with us throughout the day. Students volunteered at the Baldwin Center, The Well of Waterford, D.R.A.W., Grace Centers of Hope, MDOT Adopt-A-Highway, and Magnolia on the Lake Senior Living. No matter where they were, they made an impact by picking up trash along the highway, doing yard work, preparing meals, organizing clothing closets, packing supplies, and spending time with residents. Mountaineer Mission Day reminded students that even small acts of service can make a big difference.
