Danielle’s willingness to share and support her peers makes her a wonderful example of compassion and generosity.” -Miss Guaderrama, Fourth-Grade Teacher

Nicholas Mansour & Tessa Ioco

“Generosity is a virtue that encourages kindness and compassion. When reflecting on this virtue, students shared that when you’re generous, you share what you have with others, do things without being asked and without complaining, and are happy with what you or what others have. Through our discussion, it was clear that students understood that the virtue of generosity was about others, not themselves. Two students in fourth grade live out the virtue of generosity especially well. Tessa Ioco and Nicholas Mansour regularly use their talents to bring in or make personalized gifts for others. When done with their schoolwork, they ask, “How can I help?” Tessa and Nico live out the virtue of generosity by listening to others, asking others about their day, helping when they can, complimenting others, and consistently finding ways to serve. It is with honor that I nominate Tessa Ioco and Nicholas Mansour as this month’s Mountaineers of the Month.” -Mrs. Motyka, Fourth-Grade Teacher

Ethan Lundberg

“Ethan often volunteers to help others when he can. This is evident in class and in his willingness to join a team that might be overmatched in order to help them win a game or tournament. I am pleased to nominate Ethan as Mountaineer of the Month.” -Mr. Sapienza, Fifth-Grade Teacher

Pia Zetouna

“Pia is always willing to help another student, and she has been instrumental in assisting students that are shadowing for the day. She exhibits generosity of time and attitude as well. I am pleased to nominate Pia as Mountaineer of the Month.” -Mr. Sapienza, Fifth-Grade Teacher
