On Friday, March 28, nine boys were honored with a promotion to Grand Knights of the Altar. To celebrate, they embarked on a special outing on Tuesday, April 1, visiting several stunning Catholic churches in Detroit.  Their journey began at Sweetest Heart of Mary, followed by a visit to St. Joseph Shrine, where they passed through the designated Holy Doors during this Jubilee year to receive a plenary indulgence. Next, they explored St. Aloysius, a historic gem nestled in downtown Detroit. The group then made their way to Holy Redeemer, where they attended Mass celebrated by Fr. Joe Spears, a friend of Everest. Afterward, they enjoyed an authentic Mexican lunch at Mi Pueblo. The day concluded with a visit to Sacred Heart Seminary, where Jacob Sasak, a seminarian and Everest graduate, gave the boys a guided tour, offering them an inspiring glimpse into seminary life.
