The girls in kindergarten through second grade couldn’t wait for school to end on a Friday in December so they could come back to school with their dad. The evening started with a scavenger hunt, searching for hidden nativity scene figurines. Then they sat down for some arts and crafts together. First, they worked on decorating a Christmas tree. In order to decorate it, they needed to share with one another what they loved about the other, their favorite memories together, and activities to do together. Then they made their handprints so they could glue them together with a message from their dad that read, “No matter how big your hands grow you will always be my little girl to hold, protect, and cherish. Love, Dad” After a quick game in the gym, the dads had a brief reflection with Fr. Juan Sabadell, LC, on fatherhood, while the girls stayed with Miss Rose and her middle school helpers, Mia and Ava, to color a picture for their dad. It was a night full of fun and good memories.
