This Christmas, the international students went to an unforgettable journey through Europe, filled with faith, culture, and adventure. Their first stop was Rome, where they visited the Vatican, climbed the Holy Steps, and stood in awe of St. Peter’s Basilica. A highlight was attending the Angelus with Pope Francis, a deeply spiritual moment that touched their hearts. In Assisi, they walked in the footsteps of saints, visiting the resting place of Blessed Carlo Acutis and the stunning Assisi Cathedral, a profound experience of faith and inspiration. The journey took an exciting turn at the Ferrari Museum, where they explored the world of speed and innovation. In Milan, they admired the Duomo and enjoyed a shopping spree in the fashion capital.
Crossing into Switzerland, the students visited Gruyère, where they explored the historic castle and delighted in sweet treats at the Calliere Chocolate Factory. In Zermatt, they were mesmerized by the majestic glacier, a breathtaking reminder of the beauty of God’s creation. In Vevey, the group was blessed with a serene sunset by the lake while visiting the iconic fork sculpture. The trip concluded in Geneva, where the students reflected on their journey while taking in the charm of the city. Surrounded by stunning views and a sense of accomplishment, it was the perfect ending to a trip filled with blessings, friendship, and gratitude. Carola shared her heartfelt experience: ”What I loved most was Assisi and the glacier at Zermatt. While praying the Angelus with the Pope, I truly felt the presence of God surrounding me.
