Everest Mountaineers headed to Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek for a second year in a row. This year, they were undefeated. As defending state champs, the team knew the pressure on them and focused on one game at a time and enjoying the process. They defeated Hancock in three sets on Thursday morning in the semifinal with a horde of Mountaineers there to cheer them on. They returned on Saturday to perhaps the toughest game of the season defeating St. Joseph Our Lady of the Lakes 3-1 (25-23, 25-21, 21-25, and 25-13). Congratulations to Coach Walker and the Mountaineers on an amazing season!
