Junior kindergarten through second grade were all excited to spend time with one of the founders of Everest, Mrs. Kay Browne, on Friday, April 26. Mrs. Browne, who introduced herself to students as Grandma Kay, brought with her a friend, Kathleen McInerney, who is the author and illustrator of the book Timothy’s Glove. Mrs. McInerney explained how she hopes her book provides a window into Heaven and that it brings comfort and peace to all who have lost loved ones. Mrs. McInerney gifted a copy of the book to each early elementary student.
