Everest’s chapters of the National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society organized a service project to provide birthday bags for children in need in cooperation with Oakland County Emergency Food Pantry. The pantry provides food, paper products, and toiletries to 200-250 families in need each month. When a child is celebrating a birthday, they receive a birthday bag. This bag provides all the supplies needed to have a fun birthday at home. Students collected cake, frosting, balloons, candles, streamers, and more for those in need to be able to enjoy their birthdays.
