Traditionally, international students have the opportunity to travel abroad each year at Christmas and Easter. The trips have been adapted ever since Christmas of 2019 due to COVID restrictions. While students have enjoyed visiting domestic destinations, the opportunity to travel overseas once again was long-anticipated.

Students departed on Holy Thursday to Italy. There they celebrated the the Holy Triduum with Oak International students from brother and sister schools in the States and Europe. The group then continued on to the Holy Land, experiencing a one-in-a-lifetime trip walking in Jesus’ footsteps. The visit began in Galilee where the group visited the Mount Tabor, where the Transfiguration occurred. They proceed to Cana. There the girls participated in a special purity ring consecration.

The trip continued with a boat ride in Galilee, a visit to Magdala, Nazareth, the Dead Sea, and more before continuing to Jerusalem. The trips during an international student’s years at Everest become some of their greatest memories of lasting friendships, knowledge, spiritual experiences, and memories.
