Everest students in Clarkston and Washington D.C. joined thousands of pro-life supporters in praying for the protection of the sanctity of human life from conception to nature death. About 50 students boarded a bus on Wednesday, and – after a couple hours of mechanical delays – drove through the night to Washington D.C. The group visited local sites, attended Mass, and spent the evening sharing the pro-life message. On Friday, they joined the annual March for Life from the National Mall to the steps of the Supreme Court praying for the end of legalized abortion in the United States. The group returns to Michigan by bus this evening.

Meanwhile in Clarkston, middle school students had been working on posters for the second annual We Stand for Life event on the school’s campus on Clarkston Road. Eighth through twelfth-grade students stood outside praying the rosary and holding signs. The group then headed to the high school gym for a time of prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Fr. Luis Felipe and Mrs. Nielson shared some reflections with students.
