Samantha Luginski

“Samantha is a wonderful example of the virtue of respect.  She is always kind, helpful, and polite to her classmates and her teacher.  Samantha shows respect in the classroom by always being the first one to clean up a mess without being asked, even if it isn’t hers.  She also follows the teacher’s directions the first time and always patiently waits for her classmates.  She affirms her friends and congratulates them when they do well.  Samantha is a perfect example on how to behave and be respectful in the chapel, during class time, and with her friends at lunch and recess.” -Mrs. Reichert, Junior Kindergarten Teacher

Donovan Denver

“Donovan is a respectful young man. He always remembers to treat other people the way he would like to be treated.  When we visit Jesus, he genuflects with love and takes his prayer time seriously.” -Mrs. McGrath, Kindergarten Teacher

Will Smarch

“Will is always respectful, and I am always proud of him for inspiring others to use their manners.  He always shows respect to his teachers and peers.” -Mrs. Radich, Religion Teacher

Jax Tillman

“Jax has impressed me with his manners and respect since the first day of school. He is always attentive in class, giving his full attention to whomever is talking. His kindness is evident in the way he treats and speaks to others. Jax shows on a daily basis his respect for classroom and school rules through his actions.” -Mrs. Van Pelt, First-Grade Teacher

Emily Kuron

“Emily shows respect every day through her actions and her words. Throughout the day, you will find Emily helping others, following directions, and using her manners. I can always count on Emily to be ready to start each day with a smile and spring in her step.  She does her best to be a good example for others.” -Miss Wildrick, Second-Grade Teacher

Bryan Bowden

“Bryan is a true example of what respect is; he is kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help others. Every day he shows respect though his actions and his words. He starts every morning with a cheerful hello and uses his manners throughout the day. I can always count on Bryan to be ready and willing to take on the tasks that I have planned for him.” -Miss Wildrick, Second-Grade Teacher

Leo Dziekonski

“Leo always makes it his priority to show respect to his teacher and especially to his classmates. Leo always listens carefully when others are speaking and waits his turn to speak. He shows respect to his class as he is always ready to learn and listen for directions. He shows respect by being a kind friend and classmate. He makes an effort to help other students when he is done with his work. Even when something upsets him, he uses kind and respectful words to explain how he feels. He shows great respect when he enters the chapel, as he carefully genuflects to Jesus and quietly kneels to pray. Leo portrays the virtue of respect day-in and day-out in many ways.” -Miss Gjokaj, Second Grade Teacher

Mason McGovern

“I nominate Mason McGovern as Mountaineer of the Month for the virtue of respect. Mason is always kind and thoughtful towards his classmates and respectful to all his teachers as well. He always remembers his manners and is a gentleman around girls. He truly exemplifies the virtue of respect.” -Mrs. Ohlinger, Third-Grade Teacher

Charlotte Stacey

“About a month ago, the fourth-grade students discussed what respect is and brainstormed ways to show respect. Their ideas included showing good manners, greeting others, being aware of people’s space, being kind, listening, and leading by example. Charlotte exemplifies all those qualities and more. She comes into the classroom each day with a smile on her face, and ready to learn. She respects others in the classroom and is a friend to all. When she has after-school activities with children much younger than her, she continues to show respect by greeting her teachers and helping those in need. Each day, Charlotte Stacey unveils who she is through her kindness, generosity, and respect for all those around her. It is with great honor that I nominate Charlotte Stacey as this month’s Mountaineer of the Month.” -Mrs. Motyka, Fourth-Grade Teacher
