It has been two years since Everest’s leadership booked Fight the New Drug to come to present to Everest students about the harmful effects of pornography. After multiple cancellations and rescheduling attempts, Garrett Johnson presented to Everest 7th-12th grade students on Monday, September 13. The student assemblies were followed by an evening presentation for parents.
Students learned about how pornography affects the neuroplasticity of the brain and impacts relationships. They also learned more about the Fight the New Drug organization and were invited to sign the pledge to help fight against the harm of pornography and commit to the values that uphold the dignity of the human person and true love that does not objectify others.
