Saint Patrick’s Day is both a commemoration of Ireland’s patron saint as well as a popular celebration of Irish culture enjoyed worldwide by the Irish and the Irish-at-heart. We celebrate Patrick today because he successfully spread Christianity across 5th century Ireland. Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the Mountaineers!
