In 2014, Everest began a three-year implementation of 1:1 technology as a learning tool in high school classrooms. In the subsequent six years, the program has effectively allowed students greater mobility in their learning, creating a more productive educational environment and more closely reflecting the use of technology in a standard work environment.

Plans were established to execute a similar three-year implementation in the middle school beginning this fall. Over the past several months, several factors have expedited the roll-out of the originally planned implementation. Through distance learning, 5th-8th students and teachers alike had the opportunity to learn and benefit from the technology used for 1:1 learning.

Everest is fully implementing the 1:1 technology program in grades 5-8 beginning this fall. Mrs. Nielson has accepted a new role this year as academic interventionist and 1:1 technology coordinator in the academy. This week students, upon successful submission of the Parent & Student Chromebook agreement, began to receive their Chromebooks and receive instruction for their use. We are very excited about the addition of this program for students.
