The rain didn’t let up as students hopped out of vehicles for the first day of school. After last week’s back-to-school event, parents are asked not to enter the building to keep the “Mountaineer Zone” a safe learning environment for students amidst the current restrictions. As one of the kindergarten students said, “At first I was a little bit nervous, but now I’m having fun.”
Students reviewed all policies and procedures found in the 2020-2021 Mountaineer Policy Document with COVID-related protocols. Teachers will continue to review these policies over the coming weeks as students learn new routines. EC high school students met with dean of discipline Mrs. Van Wagoner by classes in the gym and then enjoyed the traditional first-day-of-school barbeque lunch – this year pre-bagged and inside due to the weather.
