The Everest Academy Santa Shop is a tradition that has been part of Everest students’ Christmas preparations for many years. The tradition of gift giving at Christmas is important part of the true meaning of Christmas. Everest elementary students are provided the opportunity to do their shopping right at school with gifts options for siblings, parents, teachers, friends, grandparents, and more. Parent volunteers help to set up the shop, aid each individual student with their selections, and wrap up the gifts for the students to take home and put under the tree.
The opportunity to buy items for friends and families helps students to get excited about giving at Christmas time and not just focusing on the gifts they want to receive. Students can work together with Mom and Dad to set a budget for each gift. Gifts are in the $1-$2 range so students can share Christmas joy with all their loved ones. Many thanks to all the parent – and grandparent – volunteers who made this opportunity possible.
