What does the Catholic Church teach about guardian angels? “From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession. Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.” CCC 336

The feast of the guardian angels reminds us how close each person is to God, and how close God is to each person – especially how he watches over every child. Everest Academy students celebrate the feast of the guardian angel with games and activities for students in preschool through second grade. The fifth-grade students plan these activities for the younger students.

“I thought the feast of the guardian angel celebration was very fun and one of the most fun things of the year. I love how fifth graders can help with the little kids. It was fun to do the face paint for the little kids…. It looked like it was very fun for the little kids.” -Giselle Wolschleger

“I had a lot of fun doing the sack races… The celebration was definitely amazing for us, and I think for the little ones too. I have to thank whoever put this together. The reason is because I had the time of my life. So I thank you all even the fifth grade boys helping with this celebration. I think the class next year will have an amazing time just like us.” -Emme Phyle
