The Mountaineers basketball teams have been putting in work this summer. Twenty-five of the boys attended a two-day camp at Saginaw Valley State University with head coach Ann Serra-Lowney. The boys worked hard, playing five days during the camp. In their down time, the boys had a ping pong tournament. JV and varsity each had their own bracket with freshmen Jose De Nigris and sophomore Joey Thibodeau facing off in the final. Jose won the tournament. With JV winning, varsity has to sit up front and double up on the bus on the way to the first away game in the upcoming season.

The Lady Mountaineers headed to Albion College for their Team Shootout Basketball Camp. The girls played three games over the course of the day with a little less down time than the boys. After winning the regional championship last year, the team is looking forward to rebuilding a strong squad after graduating several seniors off the team.

Congratulations to both squads for your hard work during the off season!
