The Knights of the Altar program for middle school boys was kicked off on Friday. The program is designed to help students internalize the Catholic formation they receive by enabling them to actively participate in the liturgy as altar servers and develop a personal prayer life that will help them form life-long habits. In a brief ceremony following Friday Mass, the new inductees were recognized as “heralds” and received their first pins. They will work in formation and knowledge of the liturgy over the next three years to rise through the ranks of heralds, squires, and knights.
