A part of the spiritual and family formation that Everest offers parents and students is the annual retreat program. From the youngest three-year-old Mountaineers to our graduating seniors, the annual retreat is a specific time to focus on faith and formation. The Preschool 3/4 class kicked off retreats for the year this past week. Mother and child retreats begin with Mass. The preschoolers were very excited to learn about Jesus’s home in the tabernacle. Fr. Thomas showed and explained to them how he gets vested for Mass and invited everyone to call to mind someone they would like to pray for throughout the Mass. After Mass they prepared a craft together to help us grow in the understanding of the virtue of charity. Then they has fun playing a game together, listening to the cues of when to walk, gallop, tip-toe, and run. Then the moms has some time to get to know each other and Miss Rose better.
