Fifth grade had a bittersweet day on Wednesday, March 12. It was their last mother and child retreat. While the students are looking forward to their, gender-specific, full day, off campus retreats they will begin having in 6th grade, the sad part is it was nice spending the morning with their moms each year up to this point.
Fr. Jason Smith, LC started off the retreat by celebrating Mass for the group, during which he explained serval aspects of the Mass and why it is done that way. It was very insightful and impactful. After Mass, the moms met with Miss Rose for a brief reflection, while the students made a surprise for their moms. Then they got back together to reflection on some of the things they love and appreciate the most about each other and then shared these. The retreat ended with a game of hoop hop showdown.
Thank you, moms, for coming to spend the morning with us!
