International students are nearing the two month mark at Everest. As fall sports season start to wind down, trees change color, and the first touches of cold weather arrive, students look back on two months full of activities that reflect Everest’s Integral Formation. Not only have the students adjusted to a new home-away-from-home and friends, but also they are growing in so many ways. Their English is improving daily. They have grown in their spiritual formation through daily pray, frequent Mass and reception of the sacraments, and Holy Hours. They have served those in need in Detroit and also the elderly at a local senior living community. They have memorized and presented public speaking pieces in the annual forensics competition. They have participated in athletic clinics and the B16 Tournament. This year’s fall has been particularly gorgeous. The students experienced first hand the excitement of the Detroit Tigers play-off run as well as fall activities at local farms. What a great two months it has been!
