Everest Collegiate High School is pleased to announce that Coach Joe Delisle will be returning to coach the Mountaineer varsity baseball team beginning in the spring of 2025. Coach Delisle helped found the Everest baseball program in 2015 as its head coach for six years through 2021. During those year, Coach Delisle led the Mountaineer to two MHSAA district titles. After a career change forced Coach Delisle to step down from his position with the varsity team, he continued to support the Mountaineer community by coaching CYO teams.
Coach Delisle is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, where he pitched from 1997-2002. Coach Delisle is known for his ability to help his players improve in all area’s of the game. From hitting to defense, the improvement his teams make during the course of a season is remarkable. Above all, Coach Delisle is a coach who, like all Mountaineer coaches, brings faith and formation to the field to help Mountaineer athletes become young men of integrity.
Everest extends immense gratitude to Coach Jimmy Gulliver for coaching the Mountaineers the past two seasons. We know we will continue to see him and his family on campus, while his current work commitments require him to step down from his position as head coach.
