Recently, the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program announced the names of commended students in the 69th National Merit Scholarship Program. Everest is pleased to recognized senior Caroline Beggs as a commended student.
Caroline is part of a national pool of 34,000 scholars nationwide. All Mountaineers take the PSAT/NMSQT on high school testing day which enters them in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students receive this recognition for scoring at or above the Commended Student Selection Index Score. “Those being name commended students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of the educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”
