The Class of 2022 is no stranger to changes and adaptations. Two years ago when COVID hit, the Class of 2020 was dubbed “stronger than circumstance” as they watched a senior trip, graduation, and more get cancelled or changed. The Class of 2021 also missed out on many circumstances from normal spectator crowds to homecoming dances and more. While the Class of 2022 has experienced the first normal school year in three years, the majority of their high school experience has been colored by changes and uncertainty. They are resilient and strong as they look forward to graduation.

Throughout the fall, plans for the senior class pilgrimage to the Holy Land quickly became untenable between unknown restrictions and sailing costs. A modified trip to Georgia faced similar challenges. In the end, the Class of 2022 stayed right in Detroit participating in activities together during the days off of school on what would have been their senior trip.

The group organized a road rally in the area as well as a day of service a St. Moses the Black Parish in Detroit. Class of 2022, we are proud of your resilience and fortitude! We know you will do great things!
