At a recent Friday Mass, middle school boys were inducted into the Knights of the Altar. The Knights of the Altar is designed to help students internalize the Catholic formation they receive by enabling them to actively participate in the liturgy as altar servers and develop a personal prayer life that will help them form life-long habits. And of course, they will have a lot of fun. The activities take place during school hours.

During the induction ceremony, 45 middle school students received their Knight of the Altar Handbook. This ceremony marks the official beginning of a journey of these young men who want to pursue the three different stages within the program: heralds, squires, and – the highest rank – knight.
