This year’s induction ceremony to the Christ the King Chapter of the National Honor Society was held on Friday, October 15. Twenty Mountaineers met the eligibility requirements outlined in the invitation letter: “Your scholarship, leadership, service, and character have met the National Honor Society requirements that allow for your considered entry into this prestigious club… Induction into the National Honor Society is a mark of distinction and as such the academic and personal expectations that merited your consideration remain throughout your membership.”

Current NHS president Scarlett Hamilton welcomed the new members. Current members Celine Legg, Celeste James, Nathaniel Beggs, and Jacob Jackson read the attributes of the four pillars of the society – scholarship, leadership, service, and character – and lit the candles as part of the induction ceremony. Fr. Luis Felipe Villalobos, LC, a new formation coordinator in the middle school, gave the keynote address on the topic of joy. Congratulations to all our new inductees! #SemperAltius
