Congratulations to the April Mountaineers of the Month who demonstrated the virtue of cheerfulness!

Junior Kindergarten Class

“I would like to nominate Mrs. Reichert’s junior kindergarten class.  Whenever I come to class, they are always there to greet me with a big smile and hug.  The class is always concerned with another student if any of them are sad or injured.  They are a joy to be around.” -Coach Pruchnicki, Physical Education Teacher

Suzannah Schlaud

“Suzannah always has a positive attitude towards her schoolwork.  She always has a smile on her face and is cheerful to her classmates.  If she encounters a challenge, she does not back down and chooses to receive the joy God gives her.” -Mrs. McGrath, Kindergarten

Zachary Wolschleger

“Zachary is a thoughtful and kind student who always makes an effort to bring cheer to his classmates. Zachary frequently draws beautiful pictures at home to give as gifts to each person. He recently drew a customized picture based on each classmate’s individual interests. It took him a month to complete. It brought joy to each person in the room, including his teacher. Zachary always tries to find the positives in every situation. He is flexible and ‘goes with the flow’.” -Mrs. Fazzoni, First Grade

“Claudia comes to school every day with a smile on her face. She is always spreading cheerfulness through her smile, her daily jokes and her willingness to help others.   Claudia applies her cheerful attitude to everything that she does throughout the day.” -Miss Wildrick, First Grade

“I nominate Mia Mandzuik for the Mountaineer of the Month. Mia is a bowl full of sunshine and always has a smile on her face and a kind word to share with everyone she meets. She truly exemplifies the virtue of cheerfulness.” -Mrs. Ohlinger, Third Grade

Vincent Cross

“Vincent always has a cheerful, positive outlook. He is kind and generous with everyone. He has a way of turning anything into a positive with a smile and a bit of humor.” -Mrs. Keusch, Fourth Grade

Alejandro Gonzalvo

“Alejandro is always cheerful. He makes other students feel good with his positive, good natured attitude. He is patient and generous with fellow students, always taking time to explain or help anyone with whatever is needed.” -Mrs. Keusch, Fourth Grade

“Joshua is a great example of someone who lives the virtue of cheerfulness. No matter what, Joshua is always in a positive mood. He treats everyone with kindness. He accepts circumstances that happen to him without ever complaining. Joshua also never has anything negative to say about others.” -Mrs. Keusch, Fourth Grade

“Addison always arrives to school with a great smile, ready to start the day. She likes to make people laugh and is quick to make an effort to help anyone who might be feeling ‘down’.  She is willing to work harder to get things done.” -Mrs. Keusch, Fourth Grade
