One of the highlights of every Everest middle schoolers year is the middle school integration. Held early in the school year, this trip ordinarily takes middle schoolers to a camp for an overnight. At the camp, students participate in team building activities and fun. With current COVID restrictions, the activity had to be adapted but the middle schoolers enjoyed middle school integration day on Friday, September 25.

The day began with Mass after which Mr. Cross explained the activities. Students rotated by classes through games including bowl of knowledge, guess who, switch places if…, and the two favorites: newcome volleyball and kickball. The group enjoyed pizza and popsicles outdoors and finished the day watching the powderpuff game and completing a scavenger hunt.

The day was different than most years, but the middle schoolers enjoyed having activities that they really enjoyed, a day off from academics, and growing in friendship and teamwork.
