Early this Lent, each class preschool through fifth grade took turns spending time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration.  During that time, Miss Rose led the students in a reflection on why the we live Lent.  The students all knew the answer that Lent is a time to prepare for Easter, but they learned a little bit more.  Understanding that Easter is when Christ rose  from the dead and open the gates of heaven for us, students understood Lent is also a time for us to get our hearts ready for heaven.  Miss Rose explained how we do acts of pray, sacrifice, and almsgiving as away to make more space in our hearts for Jesus.  Throughout adoration students also had the opportunity to go to confession.  Preschoolers, whose eyes barely peaked over the pews, sang their Lenten song to Jesus and prayed for their families.

While students can’t make visits to the chapel at school, we invite them to continue preparing their hearts for Easter from home!
