Catholic Schools Week is one of the favorite weeks of the school year for many. For academy students at Everest Collegiate High School & Academy, the week is full of spiritual, apostolic, and competitive activities. Each day has a specific theme in which students celebrate an aspect of Catholic schools: our community, our students, our nation, vocations, and faculty, staff, and volunteers. Students also had special dress theme days each day: Mountaineer Monday; sports team shirt/jersey; red, white, and blue day; wacky colors/twin day; and spirit day. Here are some of the top 10 moments of the week in photos:

1. Recess Tournaments/Games: from tug-of-war to lightening, paper airplane contest, memory, telephone, and more!

2. Middle School Ice Skating/Bowling Outings

3. Annual Pinewood Derby Competition

4. Annual Regatta Competition

5. Themed-Dress Days

6. Spirit Assembly with Prayer for Our Nation

7. Souper Bowl Can Collection & Penny Wars

8. All-School Catholic Schools Week Mass

9. Pep Rally: EC and EA students came together with the band playing, the fight song, introduction of all winter sports teams, and presentations by the EC Winter Game lip sync battle winners.

10. CSW Winners!

Fifth graders dominated in the 3rd-5th division with both 5G and 5B winning. In the middle school division, seventh grade claimed the prizes with 7G1 winning for girls, and 7B1 and 7B2 tying for the boys division. The winning homerooms received a pizza party and a spirit day.

The 1st and 2nd grade tied for the preschool-2nd grade division.
